Amanda Johnson

Amanda is a local girl, educated at Westfield Park Primary then Kelmscott Senior High Schools. She is a music graduate from the University of Western Australia, a professional musician and educator and a passionate advocate for spreading the word of music throughout the community. She took over the ACCB band baton in 2015 and has not only improved the performance standard but has successfully encouraged the foundation of several small instrumental groups.

She has conducted the band for:

  • Concert on the Green, October 2016
  • Annual concert: Puttin' on the Glitz, Kelmscott Hall, July 2016
  • Western Australian Band Association Championships, June 2016 (B Grade, Success! 2nd Place)
  • Anzac Day Dawn Service, Memorial Park, Armadale (annual).

CHRISTOPHER STEICKE

Christopher Steicke is a graduate of the prestigious music program at Perth Modern School. As well as conducting Chris is the band's principal clarinet, sings in a number of choral groups, and is organiser of the Jazz Quintet. Christopher began conducting the band in 2013. He has conducted at the following events:
